Drop-off wash and fold
You bring a bag, we do the rest, you pick it up the next day.
How does drop-off wash and fold actually work?
You bring in a bag of laundry and pick it up the next day washed, folded, and bagged. There is no appointment and no form to fill in. Your laundry is weighed clean, after washing and drying, rather than dirty at the counter, and we text you the moment it is ready.
Behind the counter we sort your load by colour and fabric, treat visible stains by hand, and wash it on its own. Your laundry never shares a machine with someone else's. Tell us at drop-off if anything needs cold water, air drying, or hypoallergenic detergent, and we will note it on the ticket.
The long version: how wash and fold works in KelownaHow much does wash and fold cost?
Drop-off wash and fold starts at $2.25 per pound with a 10 pound minimum, so the smallest order comes to $22.50. All prices plus tax.
Your laundry is weighed clean, after washing and drying, rather than dirty at the counter. A 15 pound order works out to $33.75 and 20 pounds is $45.00, both plus tax. We text you the moment it is ready to collect.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, 10 pounds for drop-off at the counter, and 15 pounds for a scheduled pickup.
If your load comes in under the minimum you are charged the minimum, not turned away. Small orders are welcome, and plenty of people drop off one duvet and nothing else.
How long does it take, and can I get it back same day?
Standard turnaround is 24 hours, and same-day is available when you ask early enough in the day. There is no extra charge for same-day at the moment. Either way we text you the moment your order is ready.
Same-day depends on what is already on the floor, so call ahead on 250-763-9992 rather than assuming. If you have a real deadline, a wedding, a move, or guests landing tonight, tell us when you drop off and we will tell you straight away whether we can hit it.
Will my laundry be washed with someone else's?
No. Loads are never co-mingled. Your laundry is sorted by colour and fabric and washed on its own.
Animal items go further than that: they run on a dedicated animal-only machine that never touches regular laundry.
Can you use a specific detergent, or skip the scent?
Yes. We keep hypoallergenic detergent on hand and use it on request at no extra charge.
If someone in the house has sensitive skin, or you simply do not want your sheets smelling of anything, say so at the counter and it goes on the ticket. You are also welcome to supply your own detergent if you are loyal to a particular one.
What happens if a stain does not come out?
We attempt stain removal on every item, and anything that will not come clean gets set aside and flagged for you rather than quietly returned in the middle of the stack.
The biggest thing you can do is treat it right away. The most common mistake we see is a stain that has been sitting for several days before it comes in. The sooner a stain is treated, the better the chance of getting it out.
Point out the stain at drop-off if you know about it, and tell us what caused it if you can. Wine, grease, and blood all want different treatment, and knowing which one we are dealing with makes a real difference.
We will always do our best to save a favourite piece, but some stains and some damage are permanent, and we would rather tell you that honestly than promise a miracle.
Does Kelowna water affect how laundry comes out?
Kelowna's water is not as harsh as well water, and laundry that is washed properly here does not come out looking dingy. City of Kelowna water is moderately hard, around 110 to 130 mg/L, so it is no reason to give up on whites.
What if I cannot pick up right away?
Your order sits safely for 14 days at no charge. After that there is a $5 per week storage fee.
Life happens and we would rather hold your laundry than have you rush across town. If you know you will be away, mention it at drop-off.
Self-serve machines
Coin-operated laundry, high-capacity machines, and a bright clean space to wait in.
How much do the self-serve machines cost?
| Washer | $6.00 per cycle |
|---|---|
| Dryer, after washing here | $0.25 per 6 minutes |
| Drying only, no wash | $6.00 per load, up to 30 lb |
All prices plus tax.
The dryer rate depends on whether you washed with us. If you use our washers, the dryer is $0.25 per 6 minutes. If you are only coming in to dry, it is $6.00 per load, and a load is up to 30 pounds.
Drying time depends on the load, so top the dryer up as you go rather than guessing at the start. Rates for the larger machines are posted on the machines themselves.
How big are the machines?
The largest washer you can use yourself is a 40 pound Maxi Load, and it takes a king duvet. Alongside it are eight 20 pound double-load washers.
The dryers run 50 pounds per pocket with reversing cylinders, which is the detail that matters for bulky items: the drum changes direction so a duvet cannot ball up and stay wet in the middle. There are seven dryer pockets in total, so there is usually one free.
Can I pay by card, or do I need coins?
Both. The machines take card and coin, so you do not need to arrive with a bag of quarters.
How late can I start a wash?
The last wash goes in 60 minutes before we close, which is 3:30 pm Monday to Friday and 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
That gives your cycle time to finish and you time to dry and fold without being hurried out the door.
Do you sell detergent and dryer sheets?
Yes. Detergent, softener, and dryer sheets are available for purchase on site, so a forgotten bottle does not end the trip.
Is there anywhere to wait, and can I fold there?
Yes. There is free Wi-Fi, folding tables, and rolling carts, and staff on the floor if you need a hand with a machine.
It is a bright clean room rather than a basement with a flickering light, which is the thing customers mention most often in reviews.
The long version: what Kelowna customers notice firstShould I use the machines myself or just drop it off?
Use the machines if you want it done in about an hour for the price of a cycle, and drop it off if you would rather get the time back.
Self-serve wins on cost and control. Drop-off wins when the pile is large, the item is awkward, or your afternoon is worth more than the difference. Plenty of regulars do both depending on the week.
Big and awkward items
The laundry your home machine refuses to fight.
Can you wash a king comforter or duvet?
Yes. Comforters and duvets of every size are priced per item, and a king is $32.95.
| King comforter | $32.95 |
|---|---|
| Queen comforter | $29.95 |
| Double comforter | $24.95 |
| Twin comforter | $22.95 |
| Blanket or quilt | $19.95 |
| Pillow, regular | $9.25 |
| Pillow, down filled | $12.75 |
All prices plus tax.
Why can my home machine not handle a duvet?
Because a duvet needs room to move, and a home drum does not give it any. Water and detergent cannot circulate through a packed load, so it comes out with soap still in the filling.
The damage is usually to the machine rather than the bedding. A soaked king comforter is heavy enough to throw a home washer off balance and wear out the bearings. It is a common and expensive repair.
The long version: the laundry you should not force into a home washerWhat other big things do you wash?
If it fits in our oversized machines, we can wash it. That covers most of the things people assume they have to replace instead.
- Duvets, comforters, and duvet covers
- Pillows, regular and down filled
- Sleeping bags and mattress toppers
- Weighted blankets
- Curtains, drapes, and large area rugs
- Moving blankets and furniture covers
| Mattress topper | $16.95 |
|---|---|
| Sleeping bag, regular | $19.95 |
| Sleeping bag, large | $24.95 |
| Rug, small | $12.95 |
| Rug, medium | $18.95 |
| Rug, large | $24.95 |
| Rug, X-large | $32.95 |
| Rug, oversize | $39.95 |
All prices plus tax.
Bring the rug in and we will size it at the counter. Curtains and drapes are quoted per job, so send a photo or bring them in first.
Can I wash my own comforter in the self-serve machines?
Yes. Our largest self-serve washer is a 40 pound Maxi Load, which takes a king duvet, and plenty of people do exactly that.
Two things to plan for. Drying a thick duvet takes far longer than washing it, so give yourself the time and arrive well before the last wash. And if it comes out heavier than you expect, ask at the counter rather than wrestling it into a home dryer later.
Will you wash something genuinely strange?
Probably. Boat covers, tarps, large industrial covers, chair covers, removable cushion covers, rugs, and even beanbag chairs all come through here. The most challenging so far was a huge stuffed bear, and it came out clean. Specialty items are quoted per item before we start.
If you are not sure whether it can be washed, ask. The answer is yes more often than people expect, and you will get a straight one either way.
The long version: wash and fold, pickup, and specialty laundryIs there anything you will not wash?
It is case by case, so the quickest answer is to send a photo or call 250-763-9992 before you make the trip.
The usual limit is how soiled something is rather than what it is. A rag that is soaked through with grease and has sat in a bag without being rinsed, for example, can be past what our machines and products can safely handle. The sooner a heavily soiled item is treated, the better the chance we can clean it.
Pets and animals
Animal items run on a dedicated machine, every time.
Do you wash dog beds and pet bedding?
Yes. Dog beds are priced by size, and cat beds, crate liners, animal covers, and general pet bedding are priced per item.
| Dog bed, small | $14.95 |
|---|---|
| Dog bed, medium | $19.95 |
| Dog bed, large | $24.95 |
All prices plus tax.
Bring the whole bed including the insert if it is washable. If the cover comes off, bring both and we will tell you what can go through. Hair and grit get dealt with before washing, which is the part most home machines cannot cope with.
The long version: can laundromats clean pet beds and animal items?Do animal items go in with regular laundry?
Never. Animal items have their own dedicated machine and never share a load with clothing or household laundry.
This is the question people ask most often before they trust us with a dog bed, and it is a firm rule rather than a preference. It is also why we can take animal items at all when many places will not.
Do you wash horse blankets and saddle pads?
Yes, and it is one of the things we are known for. Equestrian items are priced per item.
| Heavy winter blanket | $30.00 |
|---|---|
| Light blanket | $25.00 |
| Rain sheet | $20.00 |
| Re-waterproofing | $20.00 |
| Saddle pad | $8.00 |
| Little pony blanket | $15.00 |
| Hood | $6.00 |
| Hair and lint removal | $10.00 |
| All other equestrian items | $2.25 / lb |
All prices plus tax.
Can you re-waterproof a blanket or technical jacket?
Yes. Re-waterproofing is $20.00 per item and is worth doing on any turnout blanket that has stopped beading water. All prices plus tax.
Washing alone strips the old finish, so a blanket that is clean but no longer waterproof has only had half the job done. Ask for both together and it comes back ready for the weather.
Dry cleaning
Drop it at the counter, we handle the rest.
Do you do dry cleaning?
Yes. Anything a standard dry cleaner handles, we handle: suits, dresses, blouses, ties, wool coats, formalwear, and the odd vintage piece.
Items come back pressed and bagged, and a stain consultation is included. Pricing is quoted garment by garment at the counter so you know the number before you leave it with us. Rush requests and unusual pieces are handled case by case, so ask at the counter.
When does dry cleaning come back?
Dry cleaning returns on Tuesdays and Fridays.
If you have something to wear on a specific date, tell us at drop-off and we will tell you which return it lands on, rather than leaving you guessing.
Pickup and drop-off
Skip the trip entirely.
Do you pick up and deliver?
Yes. Book a window, leave your bag at the door, and it comes back washed, folded, and fresh.
Pickup runs at $2.65 per pound with a 15 pound minimum per pickup, scheduling is same-week, and there is a no-contact option if you would rather not be home. Payment is taken by machine at the time of pickup. All prices plus tax.
Which areas do you pick up from?
Pickup and drop-off covers Kelowna and West Kelowna.
If you are just outside that and want to ask, call 250-763-9992. Commercial routes have more flexibility than residential ones.
Commercial accounts
Predictable schedules, consistent quality, one invoice.
Do you handle commercial laundry?
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. We run recurring accounts for hotels, restaurants, clinics, spas, gyms, short-term rental hosts, cleaning companies, trades, and industrial clients across Kelowna and West Kelowna.
That covers linens and towels, uniforms and workwear, tablecloths and napkins, rags and washing cloths, drop sheets and tarps, and coveralls.
The long version: commercial laundry support for busy Kelowna teamsHow does commercial pricing work?
Commercial rates are quoted per account, with monthly billing and payment due upon reception.
The quote depends on volume, how often we collect, and what the items are, because towels for a gym and tablecloths for a restaurant are not the same job. Some accounts are billed by the piece rather than by weight, so there is no fixed minimum volume. That is why it starts with a conversation rather than a price list, and setup runs through a phone call so the schedule matches how your week actually works.
Can you handle short-term rental turnovers?
Yes. Linens, towels, and bath laundry are sorted and packaged per property, so nothing arrives back as one mixed pile you have to split yourself.
We attempt stain removal on every item and flag anything that will not come clean rather than discarding it. Hosts who need priority turnaround in peak season set up a seasonal commercial account.
What if we need something urgently or after hours?
After-hours service is available for urgent volume, and it is worth setting that expectation before you need it rather than during the emergency.
Call 250-763-9992. If you already have an account we will know your setup, and if you do not, we will still tell you honestly whether we can help today.
Visiting the shop
On Pandosy, just south of the bridge.
When are you busiest?
Summer is our busiest season, because of the short-term rentals. Spring and fall are busy too, especially in rainy weather, when the horse blankets come in. Winter is getting busier every year as we work with more businesses up at Big White.
If you need something back quickly in a busy stretch, drop it off early in the day and tell us your deadline.
What are your hours?
We are open seven days a week.
| Monday to Friday | 9:00 am to 4:30 pm |
|---|---|
| Saturday | 10:00 am to 4:00 pm |
| Sunday | 10:00 am to 4:00 pm |
The last wash goes in an hour before close. Holiday hours can differ, so check our Google listing or call ahead if you are making a special trip.
Where are you, and is there parking?
2660 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, just south of the bridge, with free parking out front.
We are on the bus route and an easy stop on the way to the lake, which is how a lot of people end up doing laundry on a Saturday morning without rearranging their day.
The long version: a local laundry stop on PandosyHow do I get in touch?
Call or text 250-763-9992, or send the quote form on this site and we will come back to you.
Text works well for a quick question or a photo of something you are not sure we can wash. We would rather answer a question than have you drive over for nothing.
Still holding something you are not sure about?
Bring it in, or send us a photo. We will tell you whether we can wash it and what it will cost before anything starts.
